Emily's hair

Emily has been asking about getting her hair cut for weeks. I kept putting her off because I really loved her long hair. And she kept asking about it right at bedtime when I wasn't up for a discussion. But she finally asked and decided she wanted it done. So here's the major haircut...
The long hair before...

Going...going...

Gone!

12 inches to donate to Locks of Love.
I have to say that I was pretty sad, but it is a whole lot easier to take care of now. And Emily keeps reminding me that it will grow back. The hardest part is that she looks so much older now! Our girl is growing up.

Decorating for Christmas

Emily and Jonathan had been looking forward to decorating the Christmas tree for quite a long while. Emily now remembers a lot of the ornaments from year to year, which is fun. Abigail was asleep, but Emily said she had to be in the pictures.

After the tree was decorated, Emily wanted to perform a concert. Jonathan was recruited to assist and here they are singing "Jingle Bells".

Abigail's first weeks at home

Abigail has slipped right into our crazy lives and spent her first weeks meeting new family members and being snuggled by her big brother and sister.
With cousins Morgan and Landon Simmons.

Looking cute in snuggly jammies.

My friend Tonya makes these great snugglies for babies. No more blankets being kicked off in the middle of the night!

First bath in the tub. She wasn't too sure about it, but now loves bathtime.

Thanksgiving--Family Reunion

We had an amazing Thanksgiving with all of my family here. We hadn't all been together since Rebecca's Master's Recital 3 1/2 years ago. It was great to be toether and just sit and talk and laugh. The kids had a ball with so many people around to keep them entertained. Mother and daddy rented a cabin in the Hocking Hills, which worked out perfectly with so many people to house. (Someday we will have a bigger house!)

Mother and Daddy arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Since we knew that we were going to the hospital early Monday morning for Abigail, they took Emily and Jonathan to the cabin on Sunday night. They made puppets and here are putting on a puppet show over the back of the couch.

The kids loved the cabin and were pretty much ready to just stay forever.

Jonathan kept stealing all of the strawberries out of Daddy's cereal. Popo and Abigail together.

Rebecca arrived Wednesday evening, Joseph and Lisa late Wednesday night, and Rachel on Thursday morning. Then it was party central for two days! (We ate a lot too!)

One of the highlights of the whole visit was taking photos of everyone together. We hadn't had a picture of the 6 of us Combses since before Joseph went on his mission. And we were all amazed by how well all of these turned out. Notice that the eyes are open!!!!
