Emily's hair

Emily has been asking about getting her hair cut for weeks. I kept putting her off because I really loved her long hair. And she kept asking about it right at bedtime when I wasn't up for a discussion. But she finally asked and decided she wanted it done. So here's the major haircut...

I have to say that I was pretty sad, but it is a whole lot easier to take care of now. And Emily keeps reminding me that it will grow back. The hardest part is that she looks so much older now! Our girl is growing up.

    I think it's awesome that she donated to Locks of Love. Carly did for her first big haircut, too. But don't you agree that it is so much easier to wash and comb when it's so short? When Carly went from really long to really short hair, I too didn't agree with it because I loved her long hair. After the cut lots of people complimented her on the short hair, and while I was glad that she wasn't insecure about her first major appearance change, I still wanted her to look like my "little" girl. Oh well! They grow too fast.

    WOW!!! How could you cut that much hair!!!! Looks great though. How's Homeschooling going?
