July 12: Texarkana, AR-DeGray Lake, AR

We got up, ate breakfast, and went to find church.  The GPS took us first to the old location, which was now a community building, so we were very confused and very late by the time we made it to the new, actual building where church was being held.  Oops. We enjoyed the meeting and disappointed the bishop when we told him we were only visiting for the day.  (The ward was really small.)

My parents and Rebecca had stayed a little farther west for the night, and were headed toward us for a family reunion.  We went to meet them for Chinese buffet for lunch.  We were all happy to see them after 3 weeks away.

After lunch, we drove to DeGray Lake, where we were staying for the family reunion.  To get to the lodge, you drive across the lake and it's on its own private island.

We had some relaxation time for the afternoon, and then met the rest of the family for a reception in the evening.
We're on the sign!
Benjamin has crackers.  Life is good.

The kids got tired of visiting with relatives fairly quickly, and everyone needed dinner.  We decided to head back to Texarkana for dinner at Cracker Barrel with Momo, Popo, and Rebecca.  After dinner, it was back across the lake for bed so we could be ready for the next day.
