We started our day with the usual workbooks (and a little whining). Emily and Jonathan decided they wanted to work on stories again instead of doing the whole stack of workbooks. After our workbook time, they got to go play for awhile because I had some other stuff to get done.
We made turkey and cheese pinwheels for lunch. Emily and Abby both inhaled them. (Jon and Ben opted for different lunch.) Then it was time to get ready for more swimming!
We had been invited to a friend's house for a swim date, so spent the afternoon in the pool with friends. Ben is really getting comfortable in the water, which is great. We had a ton of fun, then packed up to come home, by way of dropping Emily off for a birthday party where she was doing more swimming!
The other three ran through the bath and put on jammies, then chilled out on the couch while I fixed dinner. Everyone was definitely pretty mellow this evening.
Emily came home happy and tired from the birthday party. Everyone has settled down pretty quickly tonight. Apparently exhaustion is the key to easy bedtimes!
